Micaela Deegan    

Micaela is a certified Sound Healer (Levels 1, 2 & Expert) and Crystal & Chakra Healer program graduate of Life Changing Energy, a registered and accredited institute of the CMA (Complementary Medical Association). Micaela also holds an RYT-200 yoga teacher certification and is a registered member of the Yoga Alliance.

"I began a path to healing in 2019 after spending 30+ years of my life stumbling through the world. I have always been a highly sensitive person, but so much of that was misunderstood in my childhood and along the way I abandoned parts of myself so as not to rock the boat. Like so many of us, I experienced complex and repetitive trauma throughout my childhood and into my adult life. I carried my wounds with me just trying to keep my head above water most days, but always feeling empty and alone. I lived "outside of myself" for many, many years to the point that I was numb and dissociating hour-to-hour most days. 

 

I sought help through traditional medicine and mental health services prior to 2019 and had received a handful of mental health diagnoses' dating back to 2011. All of these things I had came with titles and various prescriptions to try to mask the symptoms so I could "feel normal," but no real solutions. My soul was crying out for help, for substantial change and to feel heard. The medications were only effective at numbing the symptoms for a period of time before I felt like things weren't working again and I knew I didn't want to live the rest of my life this way. It was clear to me that traditional medicine was not going to fix me and that real help would mean a deep, deep dive into all the things I'd been running from my whole life. I was lost and the monotony of things staying as they were was unbearable on so many levels. So I chose a different path.

 

I started therapy and I began to build a new relationship with my SELF. I had spent so much time running, numbing, casting away my feelings and compartmentalizing things that the only way I defined who "I" was, was by what other people around me needed me to be for them. I was chameleon, I had no sense of SELF and a terrible relationship with my body.

 

Through therapy and EMDR my eyes were opened. I began searching out a multitude of other holistic healing modalities, thirsty to move past all my hardships and old wounds. I rekindled and solidified a new relationship with my body through yoga. I experienced healing modalities ranging from yoga, reiki, past life regression, akashic readings, cranio-sacral therapy, acupuncture, NET therapy and meditation. But it was my yoga practice that really opened up all of those doors so I could begin to find myself. And through yoga I was exposed to sound healing and THAT was the catalyst I needed. 

 

For myself, sound healing is a healing modality that provides a safe space and sonic nourishment to anyone who is open to experiencing a transformative shift. Sound alchemy opened my heart up to the energetic changes that were needed for my mind to begin making the shifts necessary to realign my mind, body and soul. Through sound healing I have been gifted self discovery, personal transformation, an intuitive passion and a creative expression that not only helps my healing, but anyone within range to hear or feel the music. It is now my purpose to share with whomever is open to accept and attune to the harmony that sound healing offers."
